Gopher athletics is reviving an old tradition -- wearing maroon and gold on Fridays! It's called "Thank Goodness It's Gopher Friday" and you can follow along on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Here's how to participate:

- Each Friday this fall before a Gopher football game this season, post a picture of yourself on your favorite social network (Twitter, Instagram & Facebook are best) using the hashtag #TGIGF (Thank Goodness It's Gopher Friday).

- The Gophers will have student ambassadors out on the University of Minnesota campus each Friday rewarding people they see sporting their school colors!

- Fans who aren't on campus will be randomly awarded prizes based on their use of the #TGIGF hashtag on Twitter... Be sure to participate!
