U.S. Four Nations Cup Roster | USA Hockey Release

MINNEAPOLIS - Five Gophers are among the 23 players named to the U.S. Women's National Team that will compete in the Four Nations Cup, Nov. 4-8, at Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia, USA Hockey announced.

Current Gophers Hannah Brandt, Dani Cameranesi and Lee Stecklein and alumni Megan Bozek and Gigi Marvin will compete for the U.S. Women's National Team in November.

The 23-player roster features 12 members of the silver medal-winning 2014 U.S. Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, including Bozek, Marvin and Stecklein. The Gopher trio also skated for the U.S. at the 2013 Four Nations Cup.

The 23 players represent 13 different states. Massachusetts and Minnesota lead the pack with four representatives each, while New York, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin have two. California, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Vermont all have one representative.

The Four Nations Cup is an annual tournament that has been held in varying forms since 1996 (previously the Three Nations Cup). The U.S. competes against Canada, Sweden and Finland in this year's tournament.

This year marks the 18th year of the tournament and the U.S. has competed 17 times, having not participated in 2001. The U.S. has captured the title five times (1997, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2012), finished second 11 times and took third in the tournament in 2013. The Americans hold an overall record of 38-5-4-22-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 70 Three/Four Nations Cup games.
