MINNESOTA TRAVELS TO NORTHWESTERN
The University of Minnesota hits the road for the second time this week as it plays a Sunday matinee match against the Wildcats. Slated for a 1 p.m. start, the match will be streamed through BTN Plus on BTN2Go.
ON THE DOCKET
The Gophers return to the Sports Pavilion, Oct. 10-11, to face Maryland and Rutgers. Match times are 7 p.m. starts. It's the first time the Terrapins and Scarlet Knights visit the Sports Pavilion since joining the Big Ten.

Sunday's match will be streamed BTN Plus on BTN2Go. A subscription is needed for BTN Plus. The match will also have a live blog as well as live stats available on gophersports.com.
ALL TIME AGAINST NORTHWESTERN
Minnesota holds a 50-18 all-time mark against Northwestern, dating back to 1976. The Gophers played the Wildcats once last year and defeated them, 3-1, at the Sports Pavilion. The last time the Gophers played in Evanston, Illinois was in 2012 when the Gophers erased a 1-0 deficit to win in four.
ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Northwestern enters the weekend with a 12-2 mark and 2-1 in Big Ten action. The Wildcats are receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll. At Welsh-Ryan Arena, the Wildcats have won 18 of 24 matches on their home court, dating back to 2013. Northwestern went 10-1 in non-conference play and opened the Big Ten season with wins at Rutgers and Maryland before dropping a home contest to Wisconsin this past Wednesday. Freshman Symone Abbott leads the Wildcats with 165 kills, while senior Katie Dutchman is hitting .417. Rookie starting setter Taylor Tashima received Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors once this year and has 423 assists. Junior Caroline Niedospial leads the team with 229 digs.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
Minnesota hosts Maryland and Rutgers, Oct. 10-11 with both matches starting at 7 p.m. In honor of our University of Minnesota employees, all U of M Faculty and Staff get into the Maryland match (Oct. 10) for free. The Maryland match also marks the return of Gopher alum and hall of famer Nicole Branagh. On Saturday it's Lakeville Community Day for Alyssa Goehner and Erica Handley. Lakeville natives receive a discounted ticket. Gopher Football takes on Northwestern at 11 a.m. Fans who purchase a ticket can get into the Gopher Volleyball match for free.
