GAME DAY TID-BITS
• Minnesota concludes a three-game homestand when it welcomes University of Maryland-Baltimore County to the Barn on Saturday night.
• The Gophers have won back-to-back games at home, by an average margin of 37 points in NIT Season Tip-Off action.
• The Retrievers, out of the America East Conference, have dropped both of their games this season - at Akron on Nov. 14, 74-57, and at crosstown rival Loyola (Md.), 45-38.
• Thursday's game saw the Gophers score 109 points, the most in 25 years since a 116-48 win over Rider on Jan. 3, 1990.
• The 52-point win Thursday night against the Ravens marked the third largest margin of victory in school history. Minnesota also shot 73.3 percent from behind the 3-point arc, the third-highest percentage in school history (11-15). The team's 28 assists tied the program's fourth-highest single-game total (28 vs. Indiana State, 12/29/82).
• Career high scoring numbers were posted against Franklin Pierce by Carlos Morris (16), Nate Mason (15), Kendal Shell (8), Josh Martin (8), and Bakary Konate (6).
• Through three games, the Gophers lead the Big Ten in steals (38, 12.7 spg) and rank second in assists (59, 19.7 apg) and turnover margin (+8.0). Senior DeAndre Mathieu leads the conference in steals (8, 2.7 spg) while freshman Nate Mason is tied for the B1G lead in 3-point shooting (.714, 5-of-7).
• On Tuesday against Western Kentucky, Minnesota swiped 17 steals, the most in seven years since recording 18 against Santa Clara (Dec. 22, 2007). The Gophers were just four shy of tying the school record of 21, set vs. Rider on Jan. 3, 1990.
