University of Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill has announced the signing of Charlie Rogers to a national letter of intent and also announced that Jacob Huff, Julian Huff and Tyler Moore have signed a tender of financial aid to attend Minnesota.
Rogers, who is a defensive back from Iowa City, Iowa, began his collegiate career at Iowa State where he redshirted in 2012 and played in seven games in 2013. He notched 18 tackles, made one interception and was named Academic All-Big 12 Second Team in 2013 before transferring to Iowa Western for the 2014 season. Rogers totaled 73 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, four pass breakups and made two interceptions en route to being named a First Team All-American at Iowa Western.
Jacob Huff and Julian Huff are twins from Bolingbrook, Ill., and the duo helped lead Bolingbrook High School to an 8-4 record and a 5-2 mark in conference play. Jacob is a defensive back, while Julian is a linebacker. Julian was a First Team All-State linebacker, while Jacob was an honorable mention selection.
Moore is a 6-5, 310-pound interior offensive lineman from Houston, Texas, and helped North Shore High School to an 8-5 record and a 5-1 mark in district play. Moore was a finalist for the Touchdown Club of Houston Offensive Player of the Year.
All four individuals will enroll at Minnesota in January. Rogers will be a redshirt junior and have two years of eligibility remaining, while the Huff twins and Moore will be freshmen and have four years of eligibility.
