Gophers' Schedule in Tempe Changes

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Minnesota softball team's schedule at Arizona State's Louisville Slugger Invitational has been changed due to inclement weather in the Tempe, Ariz. area that allowed just one of five total scheduled games to be played on the day.
The Gophers' game against No. 3 host Arizona State Saturday was called off. The Gophers and Sun Devils will now meet at 1:15 p.m. (CT) Sunday after Minnesota opens play on the day at 11 a.m. (CT) against Florida International. The Gophers will no longer play Ball State.
The Gophers went 2-0 on the first day of the tournament, posting wins over Detroit and South Carolina Friday. Minnesota is off to a program-best 14-1 start.
