The University of Minnesota football team hosted a youth clinic for nearly 600 children at the Gibson-Nagurski Football Complex.

The all-day event was divided into two sessions. The morning session featured youth from the HopeKids organization. HopeKids provides ongoing events & activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. The organization surrounds the remarkable children and their families with the message that hope can be a powerful medicine.

The afternoon session was open to local youth who registered for the event. The attendees were addressed by Coach Kill before particpating in numerous stations with members of the Minnesota football team. The youth worked out with linemen, linebackers, defensive backs, quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and kickers during the day. They learned how to shed tackles, block, pass properly and even practiced some celebrations.
