Gopher Football opens the 2014 season Thursday, Aug. 28 under the lights at TCF Bank Stadium, and it's Throwback Thursday - Light 'Em Up Gold! All fans are encouraged to wear GOLD apparel to the game, and Goldy's Locker Room is now offering a special Throwback gold t-shirt for sale leading up to the game.

The final design of the season opener's official t-shirt was determined by an online vote of Gopher fans through Gophersports.com and Twitter. "Running" Goldy ran away from the competition and received the most votes.

Minnesota will face Eastern Illinois at TCF Bank Stadium on Thursday, August 28. Game time is 6 p.m.
