Who would you want your son to play for?
That was the question posed to all 128 FBS coaches by ESPN's Brett McMurphy. Ninety-eight coaches answered that question and Minnesota's Jerry Kill was a common response.
Kill, who was voted the Region 3 Coach of the Year by his peers last year, finished tied for third in the poll with Stanford's David Shaw after receiving 7 percent of the vote. Georgia's Mark Richt and Oklahoma's Bob Stoops tied for first with 8 percent.
Kill was the top Big Ten coach in the poll, finishing ahead of Michigan State's Mark Dantanio and Ohio State's Urban Meyer, who both received 4 percent.
Kill received 5 percent of the vote from Power 5 coaches and 8 percent of the vote from the Group of 5 coaches.
