Several former Gophers suited up for their respective teams for week 5 of NFL action.

Defensive Tackle Ra'Shede Hageman of the Atlanta Falcons saw significant time on defense Sunday. Hageman recorded one tackle as Atlanta defeated Washington in an overtime thriller, 25-19.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Maxx Williams earned another start in a divisional matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The former Gopher hauled in one catch for no gain as the Ravens fell to the Browns in overtime, 33-30.

Linebacker Damien Wilson and the Dallas Cowboys saw action on special teams against the defending Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots. The Cowboys lost to the Patriots, 30-6.

Tight end Matt Spaeth and the Pittsburgh Steelers won against the San Diego Chargers on a touchdown run as time expired, 24-20. Spaeth saw action on offense and keyed the game-winning drive with solid blocks for the run game on Monday Night Football.

The Titans are still without running back David Cobb, who holds the single season rushing record for the Gophers. Cobb is on injured reserve/designated to return with a calf injury. He will be eligible to play week 8.

Former Minnesota quarterback and Buffalo Bills tight end Marqueis Gray was also held out of play with an injury.

Veteran receiver Eric Decker of the New York Jets and return specialist Marcus Sherels of the Minnesota Vikings were each on their bye weeks.
