Guard Rachel Banham, who enters the 2015-16 season 107 points from a new school scoring record, will also start the year with Preseason All-Big Ten recognition. Both the conference's coaches and voting media selected the Minnesota redshirt senior in preseason polling.

Banham is no stranger to conference awards. She is a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection, and was last year's Preseason Big Ten Player of the Year before an injury cut her season short. She was previously named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2012 along with second-team all-conference laurels.

As a junior in 2013-14, Banham led the league in scoring with averages of 22.1 points per game overall and 23.3 points per game in conference play. She was the first Gopher Big Ten scoring champion in 21 years. Banham averaged 18.6 points in 10 games before her injury last season.

Banham has also been tabbed as a Preseason Third-Team All-American by Lindy's. She has earned All-America Honorable Mention from the WBCA and AP twice in her career.
