MINNEAPOLIS - Head coach Brad Frost previews this weekend's Gopher women's hockey road series at Ohio State (2-2-0, 0-2-0 WCHA) in Columbus, Ohio. No. 1 Minnesota (4-0-0) faces the Buckeyes at 5 p.m. CT Friday and 1 p.m. CT Saturday at OSU Ice Rink.

On Ohio State...

Brad Frost: They're another Big Ten opponent so we take a lot of pride in those opportunities to play those schools. Ohio State is a very good team; they made a real good run last year. They're a team that generally goes in spurts; they might struggle for a little bit, but get on a pretty good run as well. They had a tough weekend against Wisconsin, but we'd expect with them being at home that they'll be ready to go.

On first year head coach Jenny Potter at Ohio State...

Frost: I think it's going to take a little bit of time for her to establish the culture that she wants there. The good news for her is that the cupboard is not empty. There are some really good players there, and they've got some good recruits coming in over the next couple of years. So, I would think Jenny [Potter] would be able to do a really good job there at Ohio State, and we're looking forward to getting out there and playing them.

On Sarah Potomak's early contributions…

Frost: She's a great player; she had a lot of accolades coming out of high school and has a lot of expectations on her. I think it's not an easy role, as a freshman to be relied upon, but we're going to. She's doing a great job. She's really starting to fit in well with Dani and Hannah. This past weekend was kind of her breaking out party.

On preparation creating opportunities for young players…

Frost: I think it's a mindset everyday of how they prepare and how they compete in practice. As we get to the games, hopefully the games are even easier than the practices. We always tell our players that the practices are for us as coaches, and the games are for you guys as players, so go out there and play for you, and compete and battle, and hopefully take the next step. I think Sarah is getting better every weekend.
