Gophers in the NFL: Week 7

Rookie linebacker Damien Wilson played on special teams for the Dallas Cowboys as they took on the New York Giants. Wilson and the Cowboys were defeated in New York, 27-20.

Former Mackey Award-winning tight end Matt Spaeth participated on offense and special teams for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers fell to the Chiefs, 23-13.

Defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman and the Atlanta Falcons traveled to Tennessee to take on the Titans. Hageman recorded one assisted tackle as the Falcons escaped with a victory, 10-7.

Former Gopher cornerback and Minnesota Vikings return specialist Marcus Sherels returned four punts for 20 yards against Detroit. The Vikings beat the Lions, 28-19.

Minnesota's all-time leading receiver Eric Decker continued his successful season with a big game against the New England Patriots. Decker hauled in six catches for 94 yards in a 30-23 loss to the defending champions. The veteran wide receiver has 24 catches on the year for 333 yards and four touchdowns.

Tight end Maxx Williams and the Baltimore Ravens took on the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. Williams did not record a statistic in the Ravens' 26-18 defeat to the Cardinals.

Former Minnesota quarterback and Buffalo Bills tight end Marqueis Gray broke his forearm in week 4. He is now on injured reserve.

Rookie running back David Cobb will be eligible to make his NFL debut next week. He is currently on the injured reserve/designated to return list.
