Maroon-Gold Scrimmage Set for October 25

The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will give fans its first look at the 2015-16 Gophers on Sunday, October 25 at Williams Arena as it hosts the annual Maroon-Gold Scrimmage. The event, which is free and open to the public, will tip off at 4:00 p.m. with doors opening to the public at 3:30 p.m.
Before the game, fans can take part in contests and giveaways throughout the Barn, and following the scrimmage, Gopher student-athletes and coaches will be signing autographs for approximately 30 minutes on the Williams Arena concourse.
The Gophers' season begins on Nov. 1 and Nov. 6 with home exhibitions against Minnesota Crookston (4:00 p.m.) and Southwest Minnesota State (7:00 p.m.). Following that, the third season officially opens on Friday, Nov. 13 at 8:00 p.m. as the Gophers host UMKC.
