MINNEAPOLIS - The No. 14 University of Minnesota women's soccer team will travel to Lincoln, Neb. and Iowa City, Iowa for a 7:05 p.m. match-up on Thursday and the BTN featured game versus the Hawkeyes on Sunday at noon.

After dropping on the road to Wisconsin last weekend, the Gophers are 9-2-2 overall and 4-1-0 in conference play. Even with the loss, Minnesota still stands atop of the conference.

In the NSCAA rankings this week, Minnesota moved from No. 11 to No. 14. The week prior, the Maroon and Gold were No. 18. The see the full Division 1 rankings for this week, click here.

LAST TIME OUT
Last Friday, the Gophers took to Madison, Wis. to take on the Badgers in a Border Battle match.

In the 35th-minute, the Badgers capitalized off a Minnesota foul in the box with Kinley McNicoll scoring her first goal of the season off the penalty kick.

Though Minnesota fought vigorously on both sides of the ball, they were unable to come back from the 0-1 deficit.

On the night, the Maroon and Gold tallied four shots, four corner kicks, seven fouls and made two key saves.

With the loss, junior goalkeeper Tarah Hobbs' record moved to 8-2-2 in goal.

THE OPPONENTS
The Nebraska Cornhuskers enter the weekend with an overall record of 5-4-2 and 1-2-2 in the Big Ten.

Last weekend, the Huskers fell to the Purdue Boilermakers on the road, 2-1.

The Boilers were the first to get on the board as Erika Arkans scored her first goal of the season off an assist by Hannah Leinert 25 minutes into the first half.

Coming out of the locker room, the Huskers were down with a 1-0 deficit, but in the 65th-minute, Jaylyn Odermann netted the equalizer and her fourth goal of the season with service from Sami Reinhard.

With six minutes left in regulation, Leinert pulled the Boilermakers ahead with an assisted goal by Maddy Williams for the final score of 2-1.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are currently 6-5-1 overall and 0-4-1 in Big Ten play.

Last weekend, the Hawkeyes took on the Indiana Hoosiers, going into double overtime for a final draw at 0-0.

The scoreless match was the Hawkeyes' fifth shutout of the season and their first Big Ten point of the season thus far.

The match wasn't without big time effort on both sides, as Iowa tallied 10 shots and Indiana notched 20.

The Hoosiers collected 12 corner kicks to the Hawkeyes four. Iowa made nine saves on the night to Indiana's three.

LOOKING AHEAD
Following their back-to-back stint on the road, Minnesota will return to Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium to host the Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines.

Friday's nightcap game is set for 7:00 p.m. and Sunday's match has a start time of 1:00 p.m.
