• Friday night's game is the second half of a doubleheader with the Gophers women's basketball team, who welcomes Wofford in their season opener Friday at 5:30 p.m.
• Minnesota won both of its exhibition games last week, defeating Minnesota Crookston and Southwest Minnesota State by 17-point margins.

The trio represents the highest-rated signing class in Pitino's tenure, as the group is ranked 17th nationally by 247Sports and 20th in the nation by Scout.com. Both publications have listed the Gophers recruiting class as the third-highest ranked in the Big Ten.
