Gophers in the NFL: Week 14

Marcus Sherels and the Minnesota Vikings got Week 14 started on Thursday Night Football against the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals. The former Gopher cornerback returned one punt for no gain. The Cardinals went on to win, 23-20.
The Gophers' all-time leading receiver Eric Decker enjoyed a fantastic day with the Jets against former Gopher running back David Cobb and the Tennessee Titans. Decker hauled in seven passes for 74 yards and one touchdown while Cobb ran the ball two times for one yard. The Jets blew out the Titans, 30-8.
Defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman and the Atlanta Falcons traveled to Charlotte to take on the undefeated Panthers. Carolina shut down Atlanta, won 38-0 and moved to 13-0 on the season. The former Gopher recorded three tackles in the losing effort.
Rookie Maxx Williams returned from injury for the Baltimore Ravens but did not record any statistics against the Seattle Seahawks. The Ravens lost, 35-6.
Matt Spaeth took the field with the Pittsburgh Steelers to face a division rival, the Cincinnati Bengals. Spaeth did not record any statistics as the Steelers beat the Bengals, 33-20.
Linebacker Damien Wilson was active for the Dallas Cowboys. He did not record any statistics against the Green Bay Packers as the Cowboys were defeated, 28-7.
Marqueis Gray is on injured reserve with a broken forearm.
