With only three games remaining, many former Gophers and their teams find themselves in crucial games that have playoff implications.

On Saturday, Minnesota's all-time leading receiver Eric Decker and the New York Jets took on linebacker Damien Wilson and the Dallas Cowboys. Decker had another fantastic game to continue one of the best seasons of his career. He hauled in six catches for 55 yards and a touchdown, marking the 10th game he has caught a touchdown pass this season. Wilson was active but did not record any statistics. The Jets defeated the Cowboys, 19-16, to improve to 9-5 on the season and remain in the playoff hunt.

Rookie Maxx Williams played an important role in the Baltimore Raven's offense against the Kansas City Chiefs. The tight end recorded five catches for 31 yards in Baltimore's 34-14 loss.

Defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman and the Atlanta Falcons traveled to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. Hageman tallied three tackles for the Falcons. They went on to win, 23-17, and remained mathematically alive for a potential playoff spot.

Minnesota Vikings return specialist Marcus Sherels saw action against the Chicago Bears but did not return any punts. Minnesota defeated Chicago, 38-17, and remained as the sixth seed in the NFC playoff picture at 9-5.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Mackey award-winning tight end Matt Spaeth faced the Denver Broncos in a crucial AFC match-up. While Spaeth recorded no stats, the Steelers came back in the fourth quarter to beat the Broncos and move into the No. 6 spot in the AFC.

David Cobb and Tennessee Titans hosted the New England Patriots. Cobb ran the ball four times for nine yards as the Titans fell, 33-16.
