JORDAN DOES IT AGAIN
Jordan Murphy finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double and his fifth double-double in the past six games. He is the first Minnesota player with three-straight double-doubles since Kris Humphries in December, 2003. Humphries had 32 points and 13 rebounds at Virginia on Dec. 3, then finished with 14 points and 14 boards against Western Illinois on Dec. 6, and had 28 points and 12 caroms versus Long Beach State on Dec. 9. Humphries finished that season with 16 double-doubles, but three straight was his longest stretch. Over the past three games, Murphy is averaging 13.0 points and 13.3 rebounds.
MORRIS TIES CAREER-HIGH
Carlos Morris made a career-high 10 field goals in 18 attempts, as he tied his career high with 24 points. Morris was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and 2-of-3 at the free throw line, while also dishing out three assists and grabbing two rebounds. He also scored 24 points against UNC Wilmington on Dec. 27, 2014. It was his second straight game in double figures, and his seventh such game this season.
KONATE PULLS DOWN CAREER-BEST REBOUND TOTAL
Bakary Konate grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds for the Gophers to go along with three points. It was the third double-digit rebounding total this season for the 6-foot-11 center, who had 10 boards against both Omaha and South Dakota State.
KING BACK IN DOUBLE-FIGURES
Joey King opened this season with double-figure scoring performances in the first eight games, but had been held to less than double-digits in his past three games before scoring 10 points tonight. King, who leads the Gophers in scoring at 13.8 points per game, connected on 2-of-5 three-pointers against Milwaukee.
