TEAM / SERIES NOTES
• Tonight's game is the 158th all-time meeting in men's basketball between Minnesota and Northwestern, with the Golden Gophers holding a 94-64 lead in the series (not counting vacated games). Minnesota has a decisive 56-20 advantage in games played in Minneapolis.
• Head coach Richard Pitino's record fell to 41-24, while his three-year overall record now stands at 59-38.
• Tonight's game was Coach Pitino's third (1-2) against the Wildcats, and he is now 14-20 in his career against teams from the Big Ten.
• Minnesota had its four-game Big Ten home winning streak snapped to drop to 13-3 at Williams Arena this season. The Gophers are now 31-6 at The Barn under Richard Pitino.
• The Gophers entered the game ranked second nationally in steals per game (10.5) and 14th in assists per game (16.2), and finished tonight's game with five steals and 17 assists versus the Wildcats.
• Four Minnesota players reached double figures for points, and eight of the nine players who saw action in the game scored points.
• Minnesota held a 28-16 edge in points scored in the paint.
• The Gophers made 9-of-24 (.375) three-pointers. It was the 24th time in the past 26 games that Minnesota made six or more treys in a game.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior guard Andre Hollins scored 12 points to move past Kevin McHale (1977-80) and Sam Jacobson (1995-98) on Minnesota's all-time scoring list. Hollins now ranks fourth all-time with 1,715 career points.
• Hollins led the Gophers with six assists, while adding four rebounds, before fouling out for just the fourth time in his 134-game career.
• Freshman guard Nate Mason came off the bench to lead the Gophers with 15 points. Mason made 5-of-10 field goals, including 2-of-4 from three-point range, and also grabbed four rebounds.
• Junior forward Joey King scored 12 points, while also tying for team-high honors with five rebounds. It was King's 13th double-figure scoring game this season, and the 31st of his career. King made 3-of-6 treys in the game.
• Senior forward Maurice Walker tied for team-high accolades with five rebounds, while finishing with six points.
• Senior guard DeAndre Mathieu finished with 10 points to go along with five assists and a team-best two steals.
• Sophomore forward Charles Buggs had seven points and three rebounds.
