University of Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill announced the addition of 30 student-athletes to the Golden Gopher football program.

Of the 30 student-athletes announced by Kill, four were already enrolled in classes at Minnesota. Twenty-four signed their National Letters of Intent Wednesday, while six others signed Acceptance of Admission forms.

Twenty-nine members of Minnesota's recruiting class will be true freshmen for the 2015 season, while one joins the Gophers from the junior college ranks.

The Gophers signed players from 13 different states on Wednesday, which includes five players from Illinois, three players each from Michigan and Texas, two players from Louisiana and Minnesota and one each from Kansas, Georgia, Maryland, Alabama, Missouri, North Dakota, Iowa and Ohio. The Gophers also signed one player from Canada.

The 2015 Minnesota recruiting class features 13 offensive players, 13 defensive players, two athletes and two specialists.

Defensive back, offensive linemen and running back were the most heavily-targeted positions. The Gophers signed seven defensive backs, six offensive lineman and three running backs.
