• #11-seeded Minnesota faces #6 Ohio State in the 2015 Big Ten Tournament second round Thursday.
• The winner of Thursday's game faces #3 Michigan State on Friday in the final quarterfinal of the day.
• The Gophers advanced to Thursday following an 80-68 first round win over Rutgers.
• OSU is beginning play in Chicago having won three of its last four, concluding with a 72-48 loss to B1G regular season champion Wisconsin on March 8.

• As of March 9, the Gophers are fifth in the nation in steals per game (9.6) and fifth in turnover margin (4.8), leading the Big Ten in those categories. Minnesota is 16th in Division I in assists per game (15.8). DeAndre Mathieu is 24th nationally in assist/turnover ratio (2.7) while Andre Hollins is 24th in 3-point shooting (.423).
• Mathieu leads the B1G in steals and senior Maurice Walker is second in field goal shooting (.576). Junior Carlos Morris (1.8) and freshman Nate Mason (1.8) are tied for second in steals. Andre Hollins is 13th in scoring among conference players at 14.3 points per game, while Walker's 6.6 rebounds per game is sixth.
• In Big Ten play, Hollins averaged a team high 14.8 points per game (B1G: 11th) while Walker posted a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game (B1G: 5th) and 1.6 steals per game in B1G games, second in the Big Ten. Hollins's 48 3-pointers in conference play were the second most by any Big Ten player.
