MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota fans are invited to gather for a pregame pep rally prior to Sunday's NCAA Women's Frozen Four national championship game between Minnesota (33-3-4) and Harvard (27-5-3). Gopher fans should gather in the Mariucci Arena lobby at 12:30 p.m. CT Sunday.
The top-seeded Gophers face the No. 3 seeded Crimson for the 2015 NCAA title at 3 p.m. CT Sunday afternoon at Ridder Arena. The game marks a rematch of the 2004 and 2005 national championship games and is the first meeting between Minnesota and Harvard since a Gopher sweep with 2-1 and 7-3 victories on the road in Nov. 2011.
Minnesota athletic director Norwood Teague and head coach Brad Frost will address the fans during the pep rally, which will also include appearances by the team, the Minnesota band and Goldy. Wear your Maroon & Gold and support the Gophers as they prepare for their fourth-straight NCAA championship game appearance and fight for their sixth national title.
The first 100 students to show their college IDs at the Ridder Arena box office prior to Sunday's game will receive complimentary tickets, beginning at 2 p.m. CT Sunday when the box office opens. Please contact the Gopher Sales & Service Department at 612-624-8080 (option 2) with any questions.
