Six Gophers Pick Up All-USCHO Honors

MINNEAPOLIS -- Six Gophers have been named 2015 All-USCHO honorees, U.S. College Hockey Online announced Friday. Minnesota led the way with six honorees, including two first team members.
Junior Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) and sophomore Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.) both picked up first-team honors. Senior Rachel Ramsey (Chanhassen, Minn.) was named to the second team, and junior Amanda Leveille (Kingston, Ont.) and sophomore Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn.) made USCHO's third team. Freshman Kelly Pannek (Plymouth, Minn.) rounded out Minnesota's award winners on the USCHO All-Rookie Team.
Players representing 11 schools were named to the All-USCHO Women's Division teams. National champion Minnesota led the way with six players on the list, followed by Boston College with five honorees.
Bemidji State's Jim Scanlan was named the USCHO Coach of the Year after the Beavers finished the season ranked in the top 10 in the USCHO.com Division I Women's Poll for the first time. Wisconsin freshman Annie Pankowski was chosen as Rookie of the Year, and Boston College's Alex Carpenter was named the Player of the Year.
The All-USCHO teams are voted on by the website's editor and writers.
