Five Days Left to Register for Summer Camps

MINNEAPOLIS - Five days remain to register for 2015 Marlene Stollings Summer Basketball Camps, which will be held at Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. The camps, which will focus on fundamental instruction, sportsmanship, teamwork and developing love for the game, will run from June 15-21 and include options for girls ages 5-18 years.
Elite Camp -- June 15-16 -- Grades 8-12
$250 Commuter
$275 Overnight
The emphasis of the Elite Camp is to teach and fine-tune advanced fundamental skills of all players and seeks to improve individual skills by balancing demonstation with intense, advance drills and competitve team play. Each athlete will receive attention from Minnesota head women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings and her decorated coaching staff. Camp staff will also feature Gopher women's basketball players. Lunch is included for both overnight and commuter options.
Little Gopher Camp -- June 17-19 -- Grades K-8
$200
The emphasis of the Little Gopher Camp is instruction in essential fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, defense and competitive game strategy and will feature individual and small group instruction. Campers will be grouped by age and sill level and will have the oppotunity to play on the court at Williams Arena. Camp staff will include Gopher basketball coaches and players. Lunch included.
Team Camp -- June 19-20 -- Ages 13-18
$400 (before May 31)
$525 (after May 31)
All games of the Team Camp will be referred by certified officials. Courts will be available for team practice. Instructional topics on motivation, achieving academic success, NCAA eligibility guidelines and recruiting. Campers will recieve personalized instruction from Coach Marlene, her staff and/or the Gopher women's basketball players.
One Day Team Shootout -- June 21 -- Ages 13-18
$175 per team (max. 12 players)
One-day shootout for AAU, high school varsity, junior varsity and middle school teams with a three-game guarantee. Team strategy session conducted by Gopher women's basketball coaching staff.
