Some of the Gopher Volleyball alums had quite the successful international seasons for their respective teams.Â
This past weekend, Lauren Gibbemeyer helped Pomi Cassalmaggiore win the Italian Serie A1 championship playoffs. In the deciding match, Gibbemeyer had five blocks and four kills for the title on May 16.
Katherine Harms and Jessy Jones also went deep into their championship seasons. Harms, who plays for Allianz MTV Struttgrat, played in the German championship match. Although Harms did not win the match, she was a part of the team's most successful season in their history and the Cup victory in March. Her team has been invited to join the European Champions League next year. Jessy Jones played for Criollas de Cagaus as the team won their second-straight Female Superior Volleyball League.
Tori Dixon helped Rabita Baku win the program's eighth Azerbaijan Superleague championship. Since winning her championship in early April, Dixon is already competing with USA Volleyball in their Red-Blue scrimmage in Santa Ana, Calif., May 15.Â
