During the academic year, the Gophers are focused on two things: school and their sport. But when classes are not in session, the Gophers are on the go! Catch up with some of the women's soccer team as they spend their summer on adventures far away from home or living their dreams in their own backyard.
Hello from Ohio!
So far, I have spent my summer in Dayton, Ohio playing for the Dutch Lions W League Team. I’ve learned so much from the coaches here and I’ve had the opportunity to compete against other collegiate soccer players from across the nation. Outside of soccer, I have made lasting friendships with girls from all over the world. After soccer, we pass time by exploring the city, going to the pool, and even visiting kids at the Dayton Children’s Hospital.
While I have been very busy with soccer, I did have some time off to spend time with my family back home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. My mom, sister, and I also took a fun weekend trip to Chicago where we did a lot of shopping and went to the top of the Willis Tower.
Looking ahead, I will be traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina and to Atlanta, Georgia for my team’s last road trip of the season. After that, I will be headed back to Minneapolis!
Can’t wait to see you all in a few weeks!
