Summer Update: Maja Vujic

Gopher Sports: What have you been up to so far this summer? Have you seen any of the other players? Any big plans for the rest of it?
Maja Vujic: I am taking a summer course and training. I am taking multivariable calculus and it is pretty difficult but it keeps me busy. The tennis and fitness have been great. It is awesome to be on campus and have all these great resources to be able to train with. I played a couple tournaments already to keep me in match mode and so I can continue getting feedback on my tennis. Jessika (Mozia) and Paula (Rincon-Otero) are also on campus taking courses or doing an internship as well as my former teammates Tereza (Brichacova) and Aria (Lambert). After my course is finished in the beginning of August I will get to go home for a bit. I plan on going to New York City for the US Open. I have never been to the city and I love watching tennis so I really hope my trip works out.
GS: Biggest difference between Canada and Minnesota?
MJ: Minnesota really needs to get a Tim Hortons (Cafe and Bake Shop). As much as I love an Iced Spanish Latte from Espresso Royale in the summer there is nothing like an Iced Cap from Tim Hortons!
GS: What would do you do if you won one million dollars today?
MJ: I would probably spend it on traveling or I would buy a vacation home for my family in the Caribbean.
GS: Celebrity crush?
MJ: Beyonce.
GS: If you could have any super power what would it be?
MJ: Read minds or fly
GS: Most excited for when the school year starts back up?
MJ: The beginning of the year is always fun. Everyone is back on campus, the team is all back together and we get to meet our new freshmen (our incoming freshmen seem super cool). Also Gopher football starts back up and going to games are always super fun!
