During the academic year, the Gophers are focused on two things: school and their sport. But when classes are not in session, the Gophers are on the go! Catch up with some of the women's soccer team as they spend their summer on adventures far away from home or living their dreams in their own backyard.

Hey Gopher fans!

So far this summer I have kept busy living in Minneapolis, training here at the U as well as taking a class. I also do freelance graphic design work for various clients in the summer. It has been a great environment to stay close to home and help keep me accountable for the upcoming season with regular lifting and practices. I can't believe senior year is almost here!

This summer I also took on my first youth team, coaching a U9 girls team with the St. Croix Soccer Club. They had so much energy and it was really fun to pass on what I know to girls whom are just starting to develop their soccer dreams. I definitely hope to coach again in the future.

I had some adventures this summer as my family and I all went skydiving together! While it was very nerve-wracking, it was an experience that is so hard to describe beyond the fact that it was amazing! It was great I got to do it with my family as well.

Moving forward, I am just focusing in on the upcoming season and getting ready for my last year of college.  Can't wait for the season to get rolling!
