MINNEAPOLIS - The annual three-game series between the U.S. Under-22 Team and Canada's National Women's Development Team concluded with a 2-1 overtime win for the U.S. at the Herb Brooks Arena at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, N.Y., on Saturday. Hannah Brandt scored both goals for the U.S. to clinch the series two games to one.

Eight Gophers represented their countries with six Gophers trading their Maroon & Gold for Red, White & Blue and two suiting up for Canada. The Gophers combined for eight points (five goals, three assists) in the series led by Brandt, who led all players with three points on three goals.

The U.S. won game one, 4-1, with Brandt scoring the game-winner. Canada then evened the series with a 2-1 win in game two, during which Sydney Baldwin tied the game at 1-1 for the U.S. with less than four minutes remaining before Sarah Potomak tallied the game-winner for Canada with 1:07 to play.

Along with Brandt's three-point series, Potomak (1g), Baldwin (1g), Dani Cameranesi (2a) and Lee Stecklein (1a) all recorded points. Kelly Pannek and Cara Piazza also skated for the U.S., while Amanda Leveille joined Potomak in representing Canada. Leveille recorded 11 saves on 14 shots in 30:47 in net.
