For the second week in a row and the third time this season, Rachel Banham has been named to the Big Ten Player of the Week Honor Roll. The senior guard led the Gophers in scoring in both of their games in the past week.
Banham's 16 third-quarter points at Purdue helped make it a close game after Minnesota had fallen behind. She ended the game with 27 points, five rebounds and five assists.
In Sunday's win against Indiana, Banham scored 24 points and moved into third place on the conference's all-time scoring list. She was one rebound shy of a double-double.
Banham, a Wooden Award Midseason Top 20 and Naismith Watch List honoree, has also been named the Big Ten Player of the Week once this season, on Dec. 14.
