• The University of Minnesota men's basketball team faces Purdue in its only matchup of the season on Wednesday night at the Barn.
• Minnesota is seeking its first conference victory of the season after starting B1G play with losses at Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska and Michigan and home losses against Michigan State, Northwestern, Indiana and Illinois.

• Murphy's 18 rebounds against Chicago State set a new Gophers freshman single-game record, and is the most since Trevor Mbakwe had 18 against North Dakota State on Dec. 11, 2012.
• Senior Joey King was named the Big Ten Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 17 after his performances at home in the opening weekend of the season. .
• The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will welcome three new members starting in 2016, as guard Amir Coffey (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS), forward Eric Curry (Little Rock, Ark./Southwest Christian Academy) and guard/forward Michael Hurt (Rochester, Minn./John Marshall HS) signed their National Letters of Intent on Nov. 11. The trio represents the highest-rated signing class in Pitino's tenure, as the group is ranked 17th nationally by 247Sports and 20th in the nation by Scout.com. Both publications have listed the Gophers recruiting class as the third-highest ranked in the Big Ten.
