Amanda Zahui B.'s WNBA season came to an end in the playoffs, but she wasted no time getting back on the court. The former Gophers All-American and 2015 Big Ten Player of the Year is playing for Nadezhda Orenburg in Russia.

Last year, the team advanced to the EuroLeague finals. Zahui B. and Nadezha Orenburg got off to a 3-0 start in Russia-PBL play this fall. Zahui B. recently scored 16 points and tallied six rebounds in 20 minutes in a victory.

Another Gopher who was selected in the 2015 WNBA Draft, Shae Kelley, joined Montañeras de Morovis of Puerto Rico-BSNF in August. She was averaging 16.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

Two Minnesota alumnae are continuing their seasons stateside in the WNBA Finals. Lindsay Whalen and Janel McCarville of the Minnesota Lynx look to bounce back from a close loss in Game 1.
