Gophers to Host Media Day Tuesday

With the first game of the 2016-17 season just a few weeks away, the Minnesota men's basketball team will hold its annual media day this Tuesday at Williams Arena.
After posing for the team picture, head coach Richard Pitino will take part in a 20-minute press conference, followed by on-court media opportunities with each member of the Golden Gophers.
Fans can follow the action during the afternoon with live updates on Twitter, as well as on Facebook. The voice of the Gophers, Mike Grimm, will host a half-hour Facebook Live show beginning at 3:30 p.m., with guest appearances by Pitino and selected members of the team.
The Gophers will unofficially open the season a week from Thursday night, hosting Bemidji State in a 7:00 p.m. exhibition at the Barn.
