Gophers To Finish Fall at Kitty Harrison Invite

Minnesota will be bring nine student-athletes to the tournament. Camila Vargas Gomez leads the squad with nine singles match victories while Cammy Frei has eight victories.
Mehvish Safdar comes into the weekend with seven wins and Carolina Ryba has six victories following a strong showing at the ITA Central Region Championships.
Karyna Bihel and Maja Vujic both have five singles victories while Annemarie Emme and Kalyssa Hall both have four wins. Barbara Mancera has one singles win after winning her first match in the Maroon and Gold.
The top doubles duo for the Gophers is Frei and Ryba who are 8-2 on the fall season followed by Vargas Gomez and Vujic who are 4-1.

Tournament Schedule
Minneapolis, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers will be traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C. to compete in the Kitty Harrison Invite Nov. 4-6.
The last fall tournament for the Maroon and Gold will be played at two different locations, the University of North Carolina and Duke.
Tournament Format
All singles matches will play no add scoring with a 10 point tie-break for the third set. Doubles matches will be one eight-game pro-set with no add scoring tie-breaker at 7-7.
Awards will be given to top four singles competitors and top two doubles competitors. Points will be calculated Friday and Saturday to determine winners.
- 1 Singles = 6 points
- 2 Singles = 5 points
- 3 Singles = 4 points
- 4 Singles = 3 points
- 5 Singles = 2 points
- 6 Singles = 1 point
- 1 Doubles = 3 points
- 2 Doubles = 2 points
- 3 Doubles = 1 point
- 4 Doubles = 1 point
