STARTING FIVE
For the fifth time this season (fourth straight), head coach Richard Pitino utilized a starting lineup of junior Charles Buggs, sophomores Bakary Konate and Nate Mason, and freshmen Dupree McBrayer and Jordan Murphy. MASON SPARKS SECOND HALF SURGE
Nate Mason scored 13 points in the second half, and led Minnesota with 19 points for the game, to help the Gophers rally from a 19-point deficit and cut it to two points late. It was Mason's 18th double-figure scoring output this season, and he added a team-best five assists (no turnovers), four rebounds and a pair of steals.

MURPHY JUST MISSES DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Jordan Murphy narrowly missed his seventh point-rebound double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points (12 in the second half) and a team-high eight rebounds before fouling out in the final minute. Murphy helped the Gophers to a 33-28 edge on the boards, just the fourth time Minnesota has out rebounded an opponent this season.
