Rachel Banham remains on the John R. Wooden Award's watch list, making the late-season top 20 announced Wednesday. Those on the list are considered frontrunners for the award given to the nation's top player.

Banham is averaging 26.4 points per game, third in the nation and first in the Big Ten. Her well-documented heroics this senior season have included an NCAA-record-tying 60-point effort at Northwestern and this Monday's buzzer-beating 3-pointer to beat Iowa.

The Lakeville, Minn., native leads the Gophers in rebounding (6.4) and steals (2.1) per game in addition to scoring. With a team-high 86 3-pointers through 25 games, Banham is approaching her own Minnesota season record of 93 set in 2013-14.

Banham is one of seven Big Ten players on the late-season list. Fifteen will make the final ballot, which will determine a five-player All-America team.
