COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - University of Minnesota junior Lee Stecklein and Minnesota alum Megan Bozek ('13) are among the 23 players named to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championship, USA Hockey announced Wednesday. The tournament will be held March 28 to April 4, at Sandman Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Stecklein is one of 18 players on the roster who also helped the U.S. earn gold medal at the 2015 IIHF Women's World Championship. Bozek and Stecklein also won silver with Team USA at the 2014 U.S. Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

The U.S. is the defending champion and has played Canada in the gold medal game in all 16 of the previous IIHF Women's World Championships, capturing the event's top prize a total of six times (2005, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015), including five of the last six tournaments. Team USA is 63-2-6-8-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 80 career games and has outscored their opponents 535-123.
