Rachel Banham is one of 15 Wade Trophy finalists announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Thursday. The winner of the Wade Trophy, awarded to the nation's most outstanding collegiate player, will be announced during the Final Four.

Banham is the No. 2 scorer in the nation with an average of 28.6 points per game. She finished her college career in sixth place on the NCAA's all-time scoring list with 3,093 points. Her senior season included a 48-point game, a 52-point game and an NCAA record-tying 60-point game.

Banham has already been named Big Ten Player of the Year, and is a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award and Dawn Staley Award. She was a semifinalist for the Naismith Trophy. The WBCA named her an All-America candidate yesterday.

Banham was on the Wade Watch List two previous times. She is the second finalist for the award in head coach Marlene Stollings' two years at Minnesota, as Amanda Zahui B. reached that status last season.
