Some of my favorite places I've seen so far is the Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor in the center of Madrid. They are both historical areas where there are a ton of restaurants, statues, and beautiful architecture.
It has been cool to see a bullfighting ring as well, and attempt to figure out the Metro, Spain's subway system.
I have also been eating a ton of yummy food and of course, shopping :)
Today there is a huge Spanish fútbol game, and I look forward watching the game at a bar to get a taste of the craziness that is European soccer.
On Monday we have a day trip to Toledo which is a very ancient Spanish city, and Tuesday we go to Barcelona for the final week of my trip. I can't wait to see both places and continue to try new things!
I am so thankful to have this opportunity through the University of Minnesota and I hope you enjoy learning about my adventures!

¡Hola from España, Gopher fans!
I am currently in Madrid, Spain for a 2-week study abroad trip! I have been here for a couple days and I think it is safe to say I am finally over the ridiculous jet lag that I experienced (There is a 7 hour time difference between here and Minnesota). So far, my class and I have visited many different companies and sites to learn about business in Spain and experience the different culture.
