Gophers Get Two BTN Primetime Games

The Big Ten Network announced today that Minnesota will play two primetime games on BTN in 2016.
The Gophers begin the 2016 season in primetime on Thursday, Sept. 1, against Oregon State on BTN (an exact kick time has not been announced yet). Minnesota is 2-1 all-time against the Beavers and all three of those games were contested in Minneapolis. The Gophers won 44-6 in 1954 and 42-12 in 1981. Minnesota's lone loss was a 17-14 setback in 1978.
Minnesota's second primetime game on BTN will be Nov. 12 at Nebraska beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Gophers have won two of their last three meetings against the Cornhuskers and lead the all-time series 31-23-2. Minnesota posted a 28-24 win at Nebraska in 2014, which is the last time the teams met in Lincoln.
