Gophersports.com: When did you get into volleyball?
Alexis Hart: I started volleyball in 7th grade.
GS: What has been your favorite volleyball memory so far?
AH: My favorite memory of volleyball was in high school where we would play our rival school outside on sport court during Labor Day festival.
GS: You played in the Under-Armour All-America game. Talk about that experience and even playing with some of your fellow freshmen teammates.
AH: It was an honor playing in the All-American game, it was a crazy experience because I was able to meet new people and play with some of my best friends from all over the country. Also the gear was pretty cool there and got a lot of it. Lastly, playing with my fellow freshman teammates was so much fun and getting to know them was great; I can't wait for the season.
GS: What drew you to Minnesota and what ultimately led you to join Gopher Volleyball?
AH: What drew me to Minnesota was the culture and how it reminded me of home. I also love the business program. The main reason I chose Gopher Volleyball was the teammates, coaches, and the amazing support from the fans. During the season the home games at the Pav are crazy. I can't wait to experience it.
GS: Any idea of what what you'd like to major in academically?
AH: In the fall I will be majoring in Business/finance
GS: What are you most excited for in the 2016 season?
AH: I am most excited for the bonding and traveling with my teammates and getting to know the coaches. I also cannot wait to experience a home game as a Gopher Student-athlete, because we have the best supportive group of fans.
