BTN Game Times Announced

  • 2016-17 Gopher Men's Basketball Schedule
The Big Ten Network announced Monday its men's basketball conference schedule, with the Minnesota men's basketball team slated to play at least 10 times before a BTN audience.

Additionally, the Gophers announced game times for its seven non-conference contests that will air digitally on BTN Plus.

Minnesota's first four home games of the season, including the exhibition against Bemidji State (Nov. 3), will all tip at 7:00 p.m. from Williams Arena on BTN Plus. The three other opponents are Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 11), Texas-Arlington (Nov. 14), and Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 16).

On Friday, Nov. 25, the Gophers will host Southern Illinois on BTN Plus at 7:00 p.m. from the Barn. The other two non-conference games on BTN Plus are Northern Illinois (Dec. 11, 4:00 p.m.) and LIU Brooklyn (Dec. 14, 7:00 p.m.).

The Gophers' first Big Ten road trip to Purdue on New Year's Day will air on BTN, with a game time to be determined. On Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m., Minnesota will host Ohio State on BTN with a trip the following Wednesday to Michigan State (6:00 p.m.) also on BTN.

Five straight Gopher games will air on BTN, including Wisconsin (Jan. 21, 3:30 p.m.), at Ohio State (Jan. 25, 6:00 p.m.), Maryland (Jan. 28, 1:15 p.m.), at Illinois (Feb. 4, 3:00 p.m.) and Iowa (Feb. 8, 8:00 p.m.).

BTN cameras will be rolling on Feb. 15 as the Gophers host Indiana at 8:00 p.m., and the road trip to Maryland on Feb. 22 will air live on BTN at 7:30 p.m.

In total, BTN's 2016-17 men's basketball schedule will feature more than 75 conference matchups. The slate includes five Big Ten Tournament games and 10 consecutive weeks of "Super Wednesday" doubleheaders, presented by Buffalo Wild Wings. All games can be streamed via the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices on BTN2Go.
