Gophers Open Season with Alumni Meet

The University of Minnesota swimming and diving team ushered in its 2016-17 season with the annual alumni meet and Minnesota Aquatics Hall of Fame induction. Four inductees were honored, and current and former Golden Gophers shared the pool for exhibition events.

Stacey Niedenfuer Crosby, Dan Croaston, Martin Zielinski and Jillian Tyler were officially welcomed into the program's hall of fame in a pool deck ceremony. Each was presented with a trophy commemorating the honor. Click here to read more about the inductees' accomplishments.

The Gophers' first official meet of the season will be Saturday, Oct. 8. They will face Florida State and Duke in Tallahassee, Fla.
