Minnesota senior receiver Drew Wolitarsky is participating in the College Gridiron Showcase & Symposium in Bedford, Texas. The event began on Jan. 7 and ends on Jan. 11.
The College Gridiron Showcase provides exposure and education for top college senior football players from around the country. The players were selected by a panel of football experts and are evaluated for five days by professional scouts. The players receive professional coaching, mentoring, life coaching and seminars that benefit them as they move forward in their professional lives in or out of football.
Wolitarsky ended his career with 130 catches (tied for eighth all-time in program history) for 1,749 yards (ninth in program history). He scored nine career touchdowns and ended his career by making a catch in 26 straight games (9/3/15 - 12/27/16), which is the sixth longest streak is school history.
In 2016, Wolitarsky played in all 13 games and set career highs in catches (66), yards (860) and touchdowns (5). His 66 catches rank tied for second all-time by a senior with Ernie Wheelwright (2007) and his 860 yards place him fifth among seniors in program history. Wolitarsky was named All-Big Ten Third Team by the media and also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
