Damarius Travis has accepted an invitation to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl. The game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., at 1:30 p.m. CT. It will air live on NFL Network.
Travis will be the 40th Gopher to participate in the Senior Bowl. His participation in the Senior Bowl will also mark the fourth straight year that Minnesota will be represented in the premier event. Travis played in 53 career games and made 23 starts. He finished his career with 190 tackles, which included 116 solo stops. The Pensacola, Fla., native made nine tackles for loss, recorded four interception, recovered two fumbles and forced one in his time in the Maroon and Gold.
In 2016, Travis captained the Gopher defense and started all 13 games. He led the team with 83 tackles, made five tackles for loss, broke up four passes, made two interceptions and recovered one fumble.
