The Big Ten conference announced today that Minnesota will host Michigan State at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 at TCF Bank Stadium.

The game will be broadcast nationally on the Big Ten Network and can be heard on KFAN. Minnesota is 17-29 all-time against Michigan State and the Spartans have won the last four meetings.

Minnesota's most recent win against Michigan State was during a home primetime meeting on Oct. 31, 2009. That night the Gophers outlasted the Spartans 42-34 and the 76 combined points are the second-most scored in a Big Ten game TCF Bank Stadium ever (Minnesota and Purdue combined for 77 in a 39-38 Gopher win in 2014).

In 2009, quarterback Adam Weber led Minnesota with 416 passing yards and five touchdowns against Michigan State in front of a sellout crowd of 50,805.

Tickets for this year's night game are still available and can be purchased at GopherSports.com/tickets.
