Rosado Named B1G Defensive Player of the Week

#5 Gophers Host Illinois Wednesday Night
Senior libero Dalianliz Rosado was named the Big Ten Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, announced today by the league office. This marks the first honor for Rosado this season and the second award during her Gopher tenure. With Rosado's honor, she marks the sixth Gopher volleyball student-athlete to garner a weekly award this season and Minnesota's 12th weekly award this year.
Rosado commanded the back row to help the Golden Gophers to a pair of wins over Ohio State and Wisconsin last week. She averaged 5.14 digs per set over the two matches and a team-best 24 digs, did not commit a reception error, and had six assists. Against Ohio State, Rosado posted 18 digs and two assists in the three-set win. She followed with another 18 dig performance and was flawless in 27 reception attempts in the win over Wisconsin. She also set up four kills in the win.
Minnesota hosts Illinois, Wednesday, at 8 p.m. The match is televised live on Big Ten Network. The Gophers then travel to Rutgers, Oct. 28.
