Tickets on Sale For Saturday's Football Game

The University of Minnesota football team will hold its annual Military Appreciation Day presented by CarMax this Saturday, which is Veterans Day, when it hosts Nebraska at 11 a.m. at TCF Bank Stadium.

As part of Minnesota's Military Appreciation Day efforts, the team has partnered with the University of Minnesota's Student Veterans Association to honor and recognize veterans with a direct connection to the university.

Minnesota's helmets will feature the name of a veteran who is part of the Student Veterans Association, which means that current students who are military veterans will have their name on the back of a helmet. The last name will be featured on the center stripe of the helmet, which will be red, white and blue for Saturday's game. The helmet will also display a logo reflecting the military branch that the individual served.

Minnesota's coaches and support staff will also have the name of a veteran and military branch detail prominently displayed on their game apparel.

Saturday will also feature a flyover prior to the game by the T-6 Thunder. The four, Vietnam-era planes will fly west to east over the stadium at the end of the national anthem.

In addition to the helmets and flyover, Minnesota will also welcome a military veteran for the coin toss and there will be in-game recognitions featuring the military.
