The University of Minnesota women's basketball team (13-12, 4-8 Big Ten) will host Northwestern (17-7, 6-5 Big Ten) on Monday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for January but was postponed at the time. The game will be streamed via BTN Plus and the radio broadcast will air on 1570 AM.

Here are five notes on the Gophers heading into their penultimate home game on the schedule:

1 Carlie Wagner and Kenisha Bell are the No. 2 scoring duo in the Big Ten with a combined average of 36.1 points per game (behind Maryland's Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough). Wagner is averaging a career-best 19.4 points per game, and Bell adds 16.7. Each has turned in 23 double-digit scoring games this year. Bell has tied for the team lead with 19 points in each of the Gophers' last two games. Wagner is ninth on Minnesota's career scoring list (1,490 points) and fifth on the 3-point list (188 made).

2 Minnesota's recent series history with Northwestern has featured high-scoring, close games. The Gophers won both of last year's regular-season meetings with the Wildcats, with a 95-92 victory at home and a double-overtime 112-106 victory in Evanston. Rachel Banham tied the NCAA scoring record with 60 points in the second game. Carlie Wagner scored a combined 44 points in those two games.

3 The Gophers tallied their conference season high with 11 steals against Rutgers on Saturday. Their 32 points off turnovers propelled them to an 80-46 win. It was their fifth time overall in 2016-17 notching 10 or more takeaways. Kenisha Bell tied her season high with four steals, a feat she has accomplished six times, and Gadiva Hubbard added three.

4 Freshmen Taiye Bello and Jasmine Brunson have made four consecutive starts. Bello scored a career-high 19 points at Penn State. In each of the last three games four newcomers were part of the starting lineup, as transfers Kenisha Bell and Whitney Tinjum joined the pair of freshmen. Gadiva Hubbard has come off the bench since returning from an injury, and poured in 19 points against Rutgers. She averages 13.2 points per game (would officially rank second among Big Ten freshmen if she had played in one more game).

5 The Gophers are 38-9 at Williams Arena under Marlene Stollings. This includes wins over four ranked teams, including No. 20 Northwestern last year. Minnesota is 10-4 at home this season, with six of those wins coming against teams who played in the 2016 postseason, and three of the losses coming against top-15 teams.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
• Northwestern is 17-7 overall and 6-5 in Big Ten play. In their most recent four games, the Wildcats picked up wins against Rutgers and Wisconsin before falling to Penn State and Indiana.
• Head coach Joe McKeown is in his ninth year at Northwestern. He has 655 total wins in 30-plus seasons as a head coach.
• Senior Nia Coffey, a 2016 honorable mention All-American, leads the Wildcats with 18.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. The Hopkins native's brother, Amir, is a freshman for the Gophers men, for whom their father, Richard, also played.
• Christen Inman adds 12.9 points per game, and Ashley Deary tallies 10.9 points, 6.6 assists and 3.8 steals per contest.
